ABOUT HANDMADE NATURAL SOAP

ARE ALL NATURAL SOAPS THE SAME?
No, not all natural handmade soap is the same. Soaps will have different properties depending on the oils used. A-DORIUS soap has a balanced formula which gives longevity, gentleness & emollient qualities. Our soap is also cold pressed which enables the soap to hold the properties of not only the oils used but the essential oils. We don’t use melt and pour bases which in my opinion is drying to the skin. Cold pressed soap is more difficult to make but well worth the time and effort. Be aware that commerical made soap can still claim to be natural!!  

CAN I USE THIS SOAP ON MY CHILDREN?
Yes you can use true handmade soap on your children. I would recommend the goats milk + honey bar for ages 0 - 5. Children at this age have more delicate skin and are more prone to suffering from eczema. If your child/children have not shown signs of skin problems then using the especially designed Just 4 Bub - Hair & Body Wash would be a lovely product getting them to smell like little angels. 

WILL THIS SOAP CURE MY ECZEMA?
I cannot make claims that my soap will cure your skin problems. I can say however the customers that have had skin problems like eczema, irritations, rashes etc have noticed an improvement with their skin since using the soap. Again I would recommend the goats milk and honey soap to begin with. The reason for skin flare ups with commercial made soap is probably due to artifical fatty acids which mimic true plant oils, preservatives, hardners and the small amount of glycerin retained after they sell it off as a by-product when thet make their soap. 

CAN I USE YOUR SOAP ON MY FACE?
Yes you can. Because of the high content of glycerin retained within the soap you will be left with gently cleansed skin without the taught, tight, drying feeling that those commerical soap bars leave. 

I WANT TO GO BACK TO USING A SHAVE SOAP. DO YOU HAVE A BAR SUITABLE TO SHAVE WITH?
Yes we have the men’s shave bar specifically designed for this purpose with added shea butter and castor oil along with a fresh lemony scent from lemon myrtle essential oil and lime essential oil. Best used with a good quality shave brush. 

HOW LONG WILL A SOAP BAR LAST?
This is a common question but difficult to answer as with so many customers rate of usage is so different. For one person may use the bar and it will last them a week, while others can share a bar between family members and it will see them through one week. So it’s plain to see that there is no definitive answer to this question. A comment I often receive is that the soap just seems to last and last! 

DO YOU HAVE A NON-SCENTED SOAP?
Yes we do. We have the goats milk + honey soap. No essential oil are added to this bar, yet there is a small amount of organic honey to give the bar a subtle smell to mask a bit of the goats milk smell.

WHY IS YOUR GOATS MILK SOAP NOT WHITE?
Good question! During the soap making process the temperatures are kept low even when the freshly made batch is saponifying in the next 24-48 hours after pouring it into the moulds. Milk soaps, unlike standard cold pressed soap needs no insulation. It is through this phase that the goats milk soap turns a lovely yellow to light caramel colour. A true cold pressed goats milk soap will never be white. If it is then it’s not handmade and more than likely it will have additives to make it white. See the soap making process by clicking here

ABOUT MIRACLE WASH LAUNDRY BALLS 

How do the Laundry Balls work? 
Activated molecules (ionised oxygen) are released during the wash, these molecules will raise the pH level of the water and soften the water and fabric. This allows for the movement of water in the machine to penetrate the fabric and lift the soil. 

Are they Natural? 
It is environmentally safe and the ingredients are derived from natural components and inorganic rock. There is no Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) or Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate (SLES) in the product. 

Does it clean well? 
It is just as good as any environmentally friendly product on the market. It does not contain bleach or whiteners so don’t expect luminous whites. If you have stains the Multi Purpose Stain Remover can be applied. You can also pre soak the clothes with the balls in a bucket first. 

I have allergies and eczema, can I use it?
It is hypo-allergenic and safe to use for sensitive skin. It has been approved by Action Against Allergies in the UK. (manufacturer’s children) 3 of my 4 children get eczema and two have allergies and I have not had any problems since changing to the Miracle Wash System. The main reason I use this product is for my children’s skin problems - the money and time saving is an added bonus!! 

Can I wash nappies and baby clothes?
It is perfectly safe for babies and contains an anti-bacterial agent and natural softener. 

Are the balls fragrant?
There is no scent to the balls but they give your clothes a ’washed’ feeling when you get them out of your machine. When you take your clothes off the line, they smell clean but not scented. 

How many times can you use it? 
You can use each ball over 60 times. If your load is over 3kgs you need to use two balls. When the pellets inside the ball are very small, it is time to add the refill packet. 

If I use them during the rinse cycle will it cost more? 
No, the price per wash includes the rinse cycle. If you can turn the rinse cycle off on your machine, the pellets will last longer and save you more money, as well as saving water. 

What if I can’t turn off my rinse cycle?
That is ok, as the pellets inside do not contain any fillers, builders or any chemical that leaves a build up in the fabric, there is nothing to rinse off. Turning your rinse cycle off will save you water and electricity but it is not necessary if your machine can’t. 

Can I use the Laundry Balls in my front loader?
Yes, absolutely. 

Is it safe for woollens? 
Yes, hand wash as you would normally. 

Is it safe for delicates? 
Yes, just wash as usual on your delicate cycle or you can handwash by soaking clothing with the balls in a bucket of water. 

Can I use fabric softener?
Yes, but the Miracle Wash balls increase the pH level of the water, which naturally softens the clothes so you don’t need to use a fabric softener. Be aware that most fabric softeners contain toxic chemicals. We breathe the aromatic molecules in the air near the clothes or absorb them through the skin via direct contact with the clothes (which, by design, retain some of the fabric softener molecules). If you must use Fabric Softener, please use an environmentally safe product like Tri Nature’s ’Angelica’. I use a small, diluted amount to add subtle fragrance when the clothes are very smelly - like bed wetting. A natural fabric softener is white vinegar, just add a cup of white vinegar to the wash cycle. 

Can I hand wash?
Just pre-soak the balls in a bucket of water for 10 - 20 minutes and then wash. 

Are they Biodegradable?
Yes, absolutely. 

Can I re-use the water?
Yes, the Miracle Wash System will not pollute rivers or water ways and contains no harsh chemicals so it can be used to water your plants.

My Laundry Balls don’t seem to work!
Make sure you are using 2 balls for loads over 3kg. Make sure there are still pellets inside the ball - it might be time to refill. Do not overload your machine. The balls need room to move in the machine.
